We are currently reviewing attendance monitoring procedures for the 20/21 academic year in light of the changing circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. We will update the information on this page as soon as the new procedures are confirmed.
Work Placements and Study Abroad
- Students studying away from any Swansea University campus, including those on study abroad and work placements, shall also be required to adhere to the University’s Attendance Monitoring Policy for Taught Students and in the case of Tier 4 students, the Attendance Monitoring Policy for Tier 4 Sponsored Students.
- These students shall be monitored on a monthly basis by their Faculty. Faculties will be responsible for informing students of this requirement and the process for making contact.
- Student Route (previously Tier 4 students) on placement or study abroad are subject to the additional requirements specified in 3.2 of the Attendance Monitoring Policy for Tier 4 Sponsored Students.
- Students who fail to comply with the requirements of their programme or whose attendance is unsatisfactory will be considered by the Faculty and appropriate action will be taken.
