Events are a chance to gain insight to your chosen degree programme, ask questions and get to know both staff and students in your department. We look forward to meeting you!
Welcome to Swansea University! My name is Dr Nick Owen, I am the Programme Director for Sport and Exercise Science. Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your recent results and on securing a place to study Sport and Exercise Science here at Swansea. We are looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our Sport and Exercise Science community.
We encourage you to make the most of the Welcome Week. Enjoy the social events and use this as a time to familiarise yourself with Bay Campus and meet fellow students and staff. There are many points of contact and lots of people on hand to help you settle into university life in the coming weeks so please don’t be afraid to ask for help if you have any concerns at all.
As your Programme Director, I will be a point of contact during your time at Swansea, along with your Year Coordinator for each level of study and our Heads of Department. We are here to help answer any queries you might have about the course and to help deal with any issues that may arise. If you have any queries, then my email is always available (N.J.Owen@swansea.ac.uk). You can also find lots of helpful information in the Student Handbook, so please do have a look through this when you have some free time.
